Vehicle prices have been out of control for a few years now(covid), so much so that a couple of years ago I was at the dealer for a recall item and walked into their empty showroom.
I bumped into the manager by chance and started chatting about how empty it was. She arrogantly, in as nice of a way as possible, told me that if I wanted a new one that I'd be paying MSRP+ and there would be no negotiating because they could more or less name their price.
In as nice of a way as possible, I told her to go fuck herself because my vehicle was just fine and would be for quite awhile.
I betting, soon, that these prices are going to drop and those dealers won't be so arrogant. Your job is to remember.
