It just means info going from your computer to the server is no longer encrypted so others in the path can read it.

Might disclose your isp and other things to third parties.

Online safety and security is nothing more than an illusion for mouthbreathers browsing for edgy memes. If it really mattered, you woudn't rely on third parties to supply it... or give you the comfy impression that your browsing is safe and effective.

No that's not what it means. Everything is still encrypted if the URL starts with https. The cert is just expired so your browser flags it and you have to manually tell your browser to view the site anyways

Catbox uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. Usually, you have a certbot-cronjob that runs daily and automatically updates the certificate when it's about to expire. I don't know why the catbox admin didn't set that up. It's a one-liner.
