Exactly. Leaving the database access online is %100 smoking gun that this was sanctioned by actors in US government.

The first thing you do when you lose control of a facility is lock it out of the network and disable all associated logins for personnel assigned to that sight.

It being a military facility, they would have skilled personnel who practice exactly that to ensure rapid and accurate disabling of all systems.

This shit was done on purpose.

And I'm sure said personnel also have very good ideas on how to fix this issue. Like changing certain metrics or issuing new cards with a different look/number/whatever.

Which means this is continuing to be on purpose. That means they have a reason for this.
