I remember both of them were good actors. In their early films they were really acting, becoming characters. In they latest films they quit acting. They just play themselves in every movie. I wonder what happened. Drugs? Clones? Mind control?

Money. Commanding big money from name recognition and that leads to lazy acting and picking bad roles just for a payday.

Also getting old, so their roles get limited and it is painful to watch old actors anyway.
