Hospital Pain Chart Called Me A nigger

On my hospital room wall was this chart showing how the more pain you have, the different colors you become. On the first day, I certainly was a nigger. I stayed on heavy pain meds for a week until I became a White Guy again.

Being a nigger hurts!

Th treatment and recovery is a wonderful thing, but I'm not aware of which day it was exactly that the nation became preschoolers, like nurses using childish stickers because numbers aren't cute enough.

Did you get the I.V. Dilaudid? That is the best by far. Morphine is garbage with its side effects. 1mg Dilaudid will set you free!

I guess I was a nigger awhile as well. They gave me dilaudid then switch to morphine in 2hrs, then in 2hrs back to dilaudid. Switch and back every 2 hrs. Went on for 3 days.

No kidding. I never got that from morphine but I was on it a long time at a decent dose. Could be I was just used to it.

Yes, it's great stuff. Got a hit 3 times a day for a week. By then the pain was gone. Morphine is a fun drug, not as good for pain.
