Hollywood is going up in smoke. Furiosa and Garfield both flopped in the worst Memorial Day box office weekend in over 40 years. This is another blow to Tinseltown, which is already hurting post-pandemic. How low will the box office go this summer? Will Inside Out 2 make bank or will it miss projections like Furiosa?

It's a shame because movies were a fun way to spend a bad weather day. But I suppose over time we will find better alternatives. Arts and crafts is going to come back bigger than ever.

Always a good way to spend some free time when you are a guy. Most guys have a handful of hobbies they can do by themselves. But that's not really a social activity like going to the movies. Especially not one you would do with young family members.

Sounds about as fun as my Memorial Day. I just found out there’s an armadillo that has decided to move in with us and the wife asked me not to shoot it. So I went and got a live trap. That is literally the most exciting thing that’s happened this weekend.

First time I heard of this movie was article saying it was going to flop.

This is just bad marketing. It doesn't matter how good the movie is, if I don't know it exists I'm not going.
Even if I did though, outrageous prices for something I can get for free in a few months in a higher quality setting, why would I go?

We've only had the smallest morsel of dystopia and it didn't empower women or make them tough. I can believe in a post apocalyptic world but women being badasses in it is too unrealistic.
