I think the actual detail of that is that drumpft was going to order an investigation into ALL jan 6th prisoners and free/ pardon those 'convicted 'unlawfully for non-violent offenses'.

I agree with reducing Ross Ulbrict's sentence. But I don't get how this aligns with Trump's policy brand. He's a pro drug-war guy.

Ross really was the answer to the drug safety because with enough volume on a centralized site you end up with way more quality control and public scrutiny of specific sellers then you will ever have on the street.

But Trump's approach till now is just stop the fentynol stop the fentynol. Now I'm going to say something some might think is cruel but as a freedom absolutist and as a darwinist I actually want people on fentynol to die. To me that's an acceptable outcome. I am completely ok with all the fentynol coming into the country and killing everyone who wants to take it. However many that kills that was the right number of deaths and I wouldn't want it to be any higher or lower. Someone was able to make choices and faced natural consequences. So to me the trade off of the drug war reducing safety and cause people to die that aren't trying to take the drug they took, verses people dying who did take the drug they wanted to take is a very very easy moral differential to compare. But that hasn't been Trump's picture so where does freeing Ross Ulbrict fit into that?

Yes. The judge used the "white privilege" card during sentencing and the feds used entrapment to make the case. Regardless of one's personal feelings about his crimes, he did not get a fair trial due to him being a smart and successful white guy.

How did they use entrapment? He actually did run Silk Road. They didn't coax him into doing it. He was guilty. He just should have gotten a lighter sentence and better pre-trial conditions to prepare his case.

The involvement of corrupt agents (plural) from more than one federal agency, with multiple individuals claiming to be the real Dread Pirate Roberts. This uncertainty creates an opportunity for someone to frame Ulbricht. There is no direct physical evidence linking Ulbricht to the Silk Road murder for hire activity, only circumstantial evidence.
