Your generics are from the same companies you're boycotting.

Very true. I used to work at General Mills cereal factory & we also produced & packaged the knock-off brands too.

which knock offs specifically?

[ - ] anon 4251226 3 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:18:33 ago (+3/-0)

Malt-O-Meal and various chain store brands. That $5 box of Cheerios was produced by General Mills but it's distributed by a different name and in a bag for half the price down the aisle.

Why are the knock off cereal brands so much worse than their counterparts?

[ - ] anon 1025064 9 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:30:48 ago (+9/-0)

Because as food is made, there are different levels of quality the are produced. The best batches go in the name brand packing. The acceptable ones go in generic packaging. The bad shit gets sent to farmers to feed to cattle and pigs.

Most of you are probably unaware f how good name brand stuff used to be. It's not that the generics are as good, it is that the name brand has deteriorated to the quality of the generic and sometimes below it. In example, Ritz crakers used to be fantastic. When I was a kid I would ask for them in place of candy. Now you cannot pick one up without it falling apart. They were purchased by Madino sometime back. The Walmart generic round snack crackers are actually better than the current Ritz crackers.

I buy generics to save money. I learned from a few guys in the industry a long time ago that the generics are usually produced by the same companies that own the higher-end brands; it is also not that uncommon for the products to be virtually the same, just marketed at different price points to different segments. People are stupid and want to communicate their status through how much they spend on goods and services. I spoke with an exec once from a major olive oil producer, and he told me that you get basically the same thing whether you buy the expensive or cheap brand. That isn't always true. Sometimes it is worth it to spend more. Tools are a good example. Some personal hygiene stuff.

The name brand companies started contacting out their production. Turns out those contractors take other contacts too. The name brands armed their competitors.

Roma laundry powder is about as non-mainstream as I've gotten. It's made by a Mexican company called La Corona. From my scant research it doesn't seem kiked.

[ - ] anon 3002971 1 point 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:52:15 ago (+1/-0)

Blackrock and Vanguard own everything. There isnt a solution that includes boycotting jewish products/companies because ultimately, all that profit goes back into the pocket of kikes one way or the other.

[ - ] anon 1330044 1 point 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:15:31 ago (+1/-0)

I buy as much as I can from the farmer's market and a local butcher I know who gets all unvaccinated meat. What little I get name brand is from natural grocers, which usually means less overprocessed seed oils and shit.

[ - ] anon 1999551 1 point 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 16:12:16 ago (+1/-0)

I wear clothing with no branding on it. I will wear branded clothing when the company wants to pay me for advertising. If I could find decent shoes without a brand displayed on it I would.

[ - ] anon 3895711 1 point 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 12:23:24 ago (+1/-0)

I bought a walmart hammock because it was half as exoensive as the amazon one... shit!

Mama Suds, buy their laundry and dishwasher detergents. You won't have crazy ingredients you've never heard of, like PEG-19 and Doximycelestolone-7(Yes this one is made up but you get it) boosting your estrogen levels.

[ - ] anon 1908562 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 23:12:28 ago (+0/-0)

No such thing, they all comes from the same factories. Even white label products are just surplus name brand stuff.

[ - ] anon 3155563 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 20:16:39 ago (+0/-0)

Make your own laundry detergent.

[ - ] anon 4163337 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:40:10 ago (+0/-0)

But, isn't that also because they're the biggest spenders/wasters of money?

[ - ] anon 1554826 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:22:04 ago (+0/-0)

Zote bars or Foca powder.

[ - ] anon 8848641 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 16:42:09 ago (+0/-0)

You don't need laundry detergent at all it's actually a scam.

Just a little vinegar and baking soda cleans clothing just fine.

[ - ] anon 2812013 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 17:17:23 ago (+0/-0)

Wouldn't those two ingredients render each other inert?

[ - ] anon 8848641 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 19:03:27 ago (+0/-0)

Then how do cakes rise?

[ - ] anon 2626337 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 14:48:15 ago (+0/-0)

I do so because the plain wrap brands are actually better products.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 0 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 14:08:45 ago (+0/-0)

You should be doing that anyway, to save shekels. But yea generic soap always sucks, it never lathers properly.
