Anything dry and salty does the same trick. It's not really a conspiracy here. The food is half salt and totally dessicated. Beef jerky would do the same thing.

I mean I still agree that McShits isn't food and only obese butter-huffers will eat it, I just think this specific example is playing on ignorance and isn't the real issue.

Yes. Salting meat used to preserve it forever and then you could eat it whenever you wanted. You could even re hydrate it in a stew.

The people who needed to sell us refrigerators needed everyone to forget how to salt meat.

There are weeble wobbles with a few dozen of those saved up in their diverticula pouches.

Thought this was going to be about pricing.

Did you know funeral directors have said they don't need to do as much to embalm humans now because bodies don't decay so fast because of all the preservatives people eat?

I've always wondered about that

I will give @GrayDragon $5 if he eats that.

I'll raise that to $10.

People talk all this shit meanwhile the Supersize Me guy just died in his fifties. Maybe that motherfucker should have ordered more fast food.

So sick of these "health" advisers that don't truly know shit.

So if I eat that, I'll live longer?

Interesting. I am not too worried about it. I know there are preservatives in food. I recognize the benefits they provide life and society with rather than demonize them because it's trendy. I've eaten this crap most my life and I feel fine. I just don't over eat and only eat when I am hungry. I do worry about food post-covid though. TPTB have shown the length they will go to. I don't put it past them to fuck with the food supply. They've admitted it. That's what worries me. Not preservatives.

I haven't had McDonalds in about 8mo. They're not great and their prices suck, but a Big Mac sounds mighty fine right now.

[ - ] Gowithit 2 points 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 10:13:33 ago (+2/-0)

it always sounds good until you start eating it.

[ - ] rzr97 1 point 3 weeksMay 25, 2024 10:36:03 ago (+1/-0)

It's fucking fine. These people don't know shit about health. Eat what you want and take 4-10 grams of vitamin C a day. Just don't overeat. You'll be fucking fine.

Fucking Supersize Me asshat just dies in his fifties. Motherfucker should have eaten more McDonald's. Fast food didn't cause his cancer, his shit decisions in life did. That vitamin C would have extended his life.

Well at least you know if you eat at McDonald's you won't get moldy bread or meat.

It's not all bad.

Thank you capitalism. People think "muh, regulations bad" are retarded. Companies churn our shit like this because they're afraid of government overeach telling companies what to do. Along with companies donating to campaigns and lobbying for law changes, this is the outcome. They'll probably add some chemical that induces fake mold under certain conditions
