Man, as an aging gen-x'er I never understood how Seger got any airplay. He sucked. I was all about:
80's:
led zep
yes
who
sabbath
floyd
aerosmith
AC/DC (Bon Scott)
Van Halen kind of paved the way for the late 80's hair bands, that whole glam crap passed me by. I then fast forward to the 90's, TONS of good music came out in the 90's:

..too many to list, saw almost all of them in Boston on landsdowne street at one time or another (yeah I know led zep was basically done after the in through the out door album in 80, and bon croaked - it's just what I was listening to)

I remember when I was a kid the local hard rock station used to play a clip of "Night Moves" and then a puke sfx followed by blasts of heavy metal riffage, on their promo bumper between songs. Bob Seger sucks and his songs are for pussies.
