Ton of these guys here. They're super territorial right now, lots of lizard battles going on. This is one of the bigger males.

When I was a kid I'd let them latch on to my earlobes with their pathetic little bug snatchers and wear them like lizard earrings lol.

Choot eem. Those border hoppers are taking the jobs of American lizards.

Lol, those bastards are native. Those and green anoles are native to Florida. Down south they got curly tail and African rainbow lizards that are definitely invasive. They're bigger than the anoles, and they eat them.

We have a lot of invasive species here, I've even seen black basilisks. Haven't run into any Burmese python's yet, but they're farther south. Those fuckers have a bounty on their heads and you can make a decent living hunting them.

Unfortunately for the green anoles, the brown anoles are physically superior in certain niches, although I recall hearing some biologist talk about how in areas where the green anoles have been decimated, you may still find them in canopies where they are able to escape from brown anoles. White flight ;)

In meinkraft, brown anoles are removed by whatever means necessary.

In my part of florida, I had never seen a brown anole for decades, now they are everywhere.
