They've only been around for a few years and they're currently my favorite death metal band. Can't believe they sound this good as a 3 piece. I think the guitarist has his setup rigged into both a guitar & bass amp - Don't exactly know but his tone is insanely tight and dialed in.
The drummer is a machine on that tiny kit. Those double kicks are insanely tight and precise.
The vocalist is a bit annoying but his growls sound like a sewage drain.
If you want a death metal band with a black singer then check out Jesus Piece. Saw them open for Hatebreed & Terror last year, The Melvins & Boris were playing downstairs that night and came up to watch them tear it up and set the tone for the night. Boris is an old band from Japan and The Melvins basically inspired Nirvana - their drummer was Nirvana's first drummer (I think). If legendary bands are watching them play then they're gonna be huge!
I saw that the mosh pit going, but the crowd, an the whole, seemed rather subdued. They seemed to cheer at the end of the 1st song (I'm not finished watching it yet.), I was surprised at the lack of energy in the crowd.
