And what do you use for spreadsheets, and slide presentations, and writing resumes etc...

slide presentations and resumes are for wagies.
As for spreadsheets, generally I just run a python array.

spreadsheets

slide presentations, and writing resumes etc...

Pretty much all taken care of with LaTeX (with addons like gnuplot, etc) on neovim.

Out of curiosity, have you played with the database app out of Libreoffice at all? I have not myself, but was intrigued because a friend recently installed the MX Linux and got a database job and he was asking about apps on his box to learn some. I thought of MS-Access but we both know that anything MS is total cancer.

I haven't, but odd that you should ask that! I've been looking at really getting to relearn a non-MS database application. I was thinking Postgres related or Libre/Open office Base.I had to put that on the back burner because I've been busy with real world stuff. I think I'll take a look at that later today. I also installed MX Linux, about three weeks ago. I'm really liking it. I'll let you know how it goes.

I also installed MX Linux.

I believe you mentioned it. You installed the KDE version if I recall?

Sorry, I lose track of the conversations I have online, I do believe that it was you that recommended it. Thanks for that heads-up, It's a very strong & resilient OS, I Love it! Again, I really appreciate that you recommended it.

Sometimes used excel in the 2005-2010 era, back when I was a little more tolerant of evil.

Interesting, I wasn't aware that they made "Fagit" (Mispelled) versions of those Office Suites...

I purposly put LibreOffice Vs. OpenOffice Vs. Microsoft Office, because they are the three that have the majority of the Office Suite market. I didn't forget to include yours, I chose not too...
