Been following this story the past few days: Local residents in in Clonmel County Tipperary were informed that a 200 year old tree in their would be felled to make way for a migrant camp.

They are fighting back.

The 200 year old tree is still standing and the Irish workers have not turned up today!

Once they learned they were working on a facility to house foreigners they refused to participate.

Community spirit 🇮🇪

⚠️ Latest update:

The last Irish worker has walked off the site.

Trucks loaded with materials and traffic management vehicles have also left the site.

Locals now telling Africans to get out of their community!

Locals have just secured a big victory as trucks due to deliver materials to the site have been forced to leave.
