I'm not moving to 10mm cause the likelyhood of stuffing a .45 round into it or a 10mm round going into a .45 is too high. 9mm vs .45/or/10mm won't happen as it's too obvious, that's why I own both of those calibers. 9mm and .45.
To those not aware, .45 cal is .45 of an inch. Inch being 1.00. a .50 cal bullet would be a 1/2 inch. 9mm = .354 of an inch, slightly over a third of an inch.
I shoot 9 because it's fine. 9mm hollow point will get any job you need done all the way done. You have more options for conceal ability, and generally you get more in the mag in case you wanna have a little fun.
Don't be snobby about caliber. The best caliber to carry is the one you're going to carry every day. 9mm is sufficient for me to trust my life on it.
HEY HEY [email protected]'t even go there...I, ZYKLONBEEKEEPER, have been reloading ammo since 1976, I've even spent years working with conventional and plastic explosives, I have to throw this point of interest in, I could go head to head with the Cambrian Shield, drill my own holes, footwall, hangar wall, undercut, down hole, didn't matter, I'd drill holes, load them, wire them according to blast requirments and then light the place up with a bang...I had to throw that in, now, ABOUT THAT OBSCENITY OF A STATEMENT, ballisticly, other than bullet weight (grains) and charge volume/weight, The .45 ACP has a muzzle velocity of around 850 fps (I could increase that factory load) and is capable of producing over "400 foot-pounds of energy". The 9mm usually has a muzzle velocity of around 1,200fps and can produce upwards of "500 foot-pounds".
The .45 is a great caliber, I've got a few, they're good for "sloppy shooters", it's like throwing a boulder at a nigger instead of a palm size stone...I've got 9mm loads that exceed .45 penetration capability, 12" laminate lay hemlock, the .45 goes right through and stops at the 3/4 plywood backing...the 9mm goes through the hemlock, through the plywood and into the drywall. The .45 makes a fuck of a mess, especially inside a house, the 9mm is clean. NOW RETRACT AND APOLOGIZE

Nah I like .45 because it won't really punch through walls and that type of thing. Don't want collateral damage when a carjacking chimp needs goodified, strictly in legal self defense where laws are applicable of course. Another reason why I like it is because it is a subsonic round. The .45acp needs no modification to shoot quietly with a suppressor when needed, and will always function properly. I like to make big holes and I also like the utility that .45 offers along with the safety of lesser penetration. Plus my big bear paws like a big double stack .45 grip

There's a .50, boomer. Wutsammatah, too big for ya?
.45's are for those who don't actually like to shoot their pistols.
