"My dad’s mum got remarried and he changed his last name as a kid. So my legal last name is Southern, but looking back my biological family last name is the Danish surname Simonsen. You're not as clever as you think."

She is right that the surname Simonsen can be Danish. Among other things. There are a number of notable non-Jews with that surname.

I was always critical of her as some Canadian college chick that was touted as an authority on US politics due solely to her being hot. She also has apparently had interracial. Not that this should be the end of the world necessarily. Imo.
