I've never had a girlfriend or been touched by a girl at all. I dabbled with the AI gf thing for a bit. It was interesting. But the novelty of it does wear off. The technology isn't quite there yet. The AI needs to be able to remember everything you tell it. Once that is possible then it will be more feasible.

It becomes impossible because your mind gets to choose and filter, but in these models, everything is a one-shot query, it only seems like it remembers a little bit because the agent or interface will conserve (and resubmit) a 'context window' which is a certain number of words that came before the last input. It's re-using the entire text every time you add a question or comment, but when that window grows in size it starts to take too damn long because the input is becoming huge. Thats when it starts to "forget" from the beginning because that text fell out of the context window. You see there is no real memory, it's just a huge cascading repetition of previous lines for each new ONE-SHOT query. not memory, but it resembles memory in action.

This tech won't reach AGI by itself, its not "not there yet" its the wrong approach.

You are correct but I don't think it's the wrong approach. Strictly using the context window is a symptom of the tech being new and technology still needing to be improved. This is as bad as it will ever be. I think maybe in the future models will train and learn based off user input automatically by just talking with it. A context window will still exist. This will be the current conversation. But it needs the ability to modify it's weights in real time based on the user's input. This will be what changes the game.

I've never thumb up/down so I don't know but the refresh rerolls it but I only use that when its response makes no sense, which is rare. Also a lot of times when you reroll it'll give you the exact same thing.
