The old original "Where The Red Fern Grows" is one of the best. The old original "Swiss Family Robinson" is another great one. There is one scene in it that I always thought showed a man/dad being the Man/Dad! The two oldest boys were fighting, dad sternly calls them, by their first names, in that dad's "I ain't messing around" voice. Both boys stop immediately. Nice representation of a man having his children under his authority. I always tried to treat my children in such a way that they would have that kind of respect for me. It didn't work, but I tried.
