I am tired of chefs being exalted as anything more than fucking cooks.
They stand in the kitchen in the heat because no one else wants to.
The whole "chef as hero" thing came about because a Hollywood producer literally looked at cooks and thought he could make a show and create a mythical image of them that didn't exist because they were very cheap labor for his shows and had no bargaining power.
