I have a customer from india, he’s a doctor, an MD and PhD and heads the department in his field at the local (to me) university. He’s one of the top radiologists in the country. He makes about 1/2 million a year just in his salary, excluding side projects and such. His wife is also a doctor, so together they make 1 million a year, again, not including their side gigs.
This dude is so fucking cool. I’ve heard him rail about immigrants and their accents, “learn to fucking speak English”, he says about all these shitskins who won’t comply.

My wife's first language is Spanish, but she got her PhD in English. You get a pretty good grasp of the language writing and defending a dissertation. She still has an accent, and her syntax is a little off sometimes but it's endearing. She hates filthy spics though and always says listening to a Mexican speak Spanish is like listening to a spoon caught in a garbage disposal.
