Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS (Dapper Drake) was released back in 06, about the first time I tried installing ubuntu on an old laptop. Back then you would go through hell and back trying to get the wireless NIC to work, reading thread after thread on ubuntu forums. Kept me busy, indeed
