When my wife and I met, she was a vegetarian. Turns out MIL couldn't cook meat at all...everything well done or raw, nothing as it should.

Steak from a proper restaurant helped turn her around. So did eating bacon that wasn't overcooked and refried in butter.

My ex was a vegetarian. She was actually good about it and didn't push it on anyone, I don't even think it was political. But it's still such a huge pain in the ass. I always had to double check places we went to make sure they had vegetarian options and really clean the pans I used so there weren't any traces of burnt meat or anything.

and she was in shit shape. I could understand if someone was doing it for their health but that was the only thing she did and I was miles better in terms of health.

I can understand vegs if they work to stay in shape. Very few do.

My wife went vegan. But mostly for health reasons. She can't digest animal fat anymore. Makes her literally sick. When we first met she used to eat her steak rare. I shouldn't say vegan. She still eats fish and seafood. But no dairy or meat. Anyway. It isn't something because she feels bad for animals. She just can't eat the shit anymore for whatever reason.

She may have alpha gal. My wife got Rocky mountain tick disease and developed alpha gal because of it. She can not digest meat from mammals. We eat a lot of fish and fowl.
I used to stick with her and only eat things that she could eat, but now I eat whatever I want. There is a acupuncture procedure that will make one able to eat meat again and she will not get it, so I eat what I want now. An acupuncturist in the next city over will guarantee it to work or your money back, $75. If my wife refuses to get it then why should I suffer and miss out on eating steak and bacon?
Your woman might have alpha gal or something similar.
