The 5 stars for Trash Mountain were only from two reviews, but there were enough 5s on GLP to keep it at 50%.

Reminds me of the Eskimos having multiple words for snow. In India, they must have nuanced perceptions of filth, where a westerner would just call the whole place a shithole.

I am positive Ghazipur caught fire previously.

Data from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi shows that only one major fire was reported at the Ghazipur landfill last year, but there were five such blazes in 2022, eight in 2021 and 2020 each, and 48 such cases in 2019.

In the last 6yrs alone it has caught fire no less than 62 other times.
