I know what you mean. I put the skin near the compost bin for a photo hoping the missus wouldn't take out the kitchen scraps and notice it. She did and she did.She's pretty cool about snakes and spotted a monster crossing the road outside the house the other day but my main concern was that she'd think I was trying to frighten her. I explained the need for a studio and peace reigns!

Fair enough. I'm not sure what this critter was. Probably a red bellied black snake which is a killer but not aggressive thank god.I leave them alone, talk to them even, and they slither off.

Snakes are always where they are supposed to be or encounter to.
Snakes are where their food is.
Random venomous don't mean there are alot of fuzzy stuff to eat.
Repetive sightings suggest sustainable.
Snakes do not hang out where there isn't a food source.
