I've never said he was winning the electoral college count for example.

No he has not been gaining on Trump and no he was not gaining on Trump. A Biden gain in popularity polls is not a gain on Trump. We don't elect presidents using a national popular vote. Trump has been slowly advancing in every swing state since he announced his run for re-election, which means extending his lead in the run for president. At no time has Biden done anything but slowed Trumps lead extension, and only then, very rarely, for very short periods of time.
As for the criminal trial. If you didn't notice, every indictment against Trump made him more popular, not less. Every count charged made Trump more popular, not less. His mug shot raised millions for his campaign. The E. Carroll verdict made Trump more popular, not less. The evalution fraud case, more popular, not less. I doubt Trump will be convicted, and even if he is, it certainly won't stand on appeal, but that conviction will only serve to make Trump more popular, not less.
I don't understand why boomers, especially those on the left, can't wrap their heads around this. It is clear to Trump supporters, whether you think it's true or not, Trump is being persecuted, not prosecuted. Each case against Trump is as fuckin stupid if not more stupid than the loan evaluation case or the Carrol sexual harassment case. Novel interpretations of laws twisted and contorted to allege Trump is guilty on a technicality. It simply won't stand, especially with the 75 million and growing Trump supporters that are watching the system that they hate go after the guy offering to fix that system if elected.
"No one is above the law" except Hiliary, Joe, Jim, and Hunter Biden, 2 million illegals that crossed the boarder last year, and a fuck ton of homeless bums high on fent in every major city in the country. Ffs, you can basically murder someone in NYC and be our ROR the next day. The people have had it.
