There we MULTIPLE causes, and specifically listed grievances that led to the American Revolution.

Gun control was NOT one of them.

The British intentionally limited local Town meetings, forced individuals to quarter occupying British soldiers at their own expense, and even removed the ability for American courts to bring British subjects to justice for crimes committed on American soil.
