What Torah actually says is don't consume the mother's milk with her calf. But jews will go through any level of mental gymnastics to add additional complicated rules because they have a mental illness that makes them want to have complicated lives. And then they will go through any level of mental gymnastics to get around their own rules.

It makes for a life ruled by complicated, absurd, and falty logic. Which is the lifestyle insane people want to lead.

This comment needs to be its own post under jews. I think it explains so much. I think more and more people need to understand that Jews are clinically insane because of inbreeding and genetic deselection. The thing is some of their genetic mental illnesses have The accidental effect of causing them to be relentlessly self-promoting without regard to Future consequences so by their nature they push and push and push with no logical forethought until everybody gets tired of them and they've done too much. But for the interim period they seem to have success.

The thing is I'm one of those people that believe that there is a reason for every old custom and it usually has nothing to do with the reason that we're told but more to do with somewhere along the way somebody died because they didn't do it. So I'm wondering what bacteria or whatever lives in the combination of milk or meat that if you ate them together and they were not refrigerated Etc that you would likely be very sick or die. I'm sure there is one.

That's my takeaway from reading Deuteronomy and Leviticus (which is where you can find the laws this yid is talking about). They have rules and procedures for dealing with leprosy, mold, blood, sores, etc... as well as which meats can be consumed.

There are some weird ones that I can't figure out though, like rabbits ("chew the cud but don't split the hoof"). I can understand pigs being regarded as unclean, but rabbits don't generally strike me as an unclean animal. Not that I give it too much thought beyond "huh, that's weird."
