Neat fearporn. It's really kinda funny how those two things are so similar. Both can be addicting. Both are, ultimately, unfulfilling. An environment where one or the other persists will inevitably lead one down a path of despair that is downright paralyzing. It's quite like both things result in similar outcomes and as such can be weaponized against a target population with the sole purpose of demoralizing it. Weird.

Massive 8 cord+ wood pile because of the light winter
Untold gallons of homemade hooch from a skillful neighbor.
It's spawning season and fish smoking/canning is the task.

When Russia invaded Ukraine I went crazy growing potatoes but the missus wouldn't play ball and preferred the spuds from the supermarket which was very demoralising so...I've given up prepping save to say a "climbing spinach" (Malabar spinach) has taken off (self seeded) in the veggie patch and it's an amazing source of food.
