You haven't seen the movie, yet, have you?

Allusions to contemporary America throughout Civil War are clearest through the president (Offerman), who unmistakably echoes Trump through his red tie and a love of vague attribution ("some are calling it") and repetition ("a very great loss, a very great defeat") in speeches.

Total lie. There are no "echoes" of Trump. That's complete bullshit. If anything, WF is America First, and like Kosher pointed out, a WF killed 2 chinks because they weren't Americans.

Elsewhere, a previous Antifa massacre mentioned in passing makes it ambiguous whether the group were victims or perpetrators.

Yes. The words "antifa massacre" was used to describe how the lead character became popular. That's it. Nothing else

And the repeated reference to Charlottesville, a stop on their protracted drive, evokes the city's deadly clashes in 2017, where a white supremacist ploughed a car into anti-racism protesters, killing one person.

The front lines were Charlottesville.

Civil War's most intense and pivotal scene is the closest it gets to interrogating these familiar fault-lines. In it, a white soldier, played by Jesse Plemons (Dunst's husband), interrogates the journalists, screaming "Where are you from? What kind of American are you?"

See? The author is bi-polar and seeing politics where none exist. If Trump is the President in this movie, then why are the WF forces, fighting to kill Trump, MAGA adjacent?

Like I had mentioned in my review of this movie, if you're trying to find current politics in this movie, you will, but they weren't put in there by the director, the script, or the actors. It's simply the watcher projecting his/her politics onto the movie.

7 of 10. Dunst is a good a actress, the director is a pro, fo sho, and the camera guy knows how to make a screen look good.

The story, however, is not very cohesive. It's basically a "road trip" flick, where the characters get into situations as they go on their journey to DC.

A little boring at times, but overall a good flick.

Oh and, sorry. I thought Joe posted this.
