Getting into an argument is what they want.
They want to argue over semantics and loopholes.
It clouds the truth and confuses the issue.

That's why saying, "It's debunked" and "Trust the science" is more effective at pushing people to your side than 20 eyewitness reports or scientific papers with a hundred charts.

It's also why saying that the Jews killed Jesus. And that the Anti-Christ is not one person; the Anti-Christ are the Against-Jesus people. - It's why saying those things are far more effective than quoting 30 lines of scripture.

Simplistic generalizations and cherry-picked summaries are what people want to hear.
If it's too complicated, people zone out and refuse to care.

the talmud one that sticks out, was the one about, if a child under 3 is raped, "tis but a finger in the eye"
it's often presented as an ok to rape babies, so to benefit the peado, but from the context it appears to be about the child, as they will still be considered a virgin for marriage later on, as the entire section is about stuff that can happen to women but they will still be considered virgins.
