These are a few months old, and around 12 or 15 different types of dates. I have no room for palm trees, so am thinking of gorilla gardening around a nearby lagoon.

Still have another 2.5 pounds of seeds (more than a packed quart ziplock) if I can find a place for these. Salad, maybe?

There's a date guy at the farmers market with 20 to 30 kinds of dates from palm springs throughout the year. $10 to $15 per pound. One type crystalizes similar to honey, but they get super hard. Others are super soft with delicious flavors. Unpollinated Dayri have no seed, and are like a chewy little pod.

You live somewhere Awesome... You lucky dog! I love dates, They are expensive, but they're good. I used to like figs too, but, someone ruined them for me with a LifeProTip...

Haven't eaten a fig, or anything with fig in it since I found this out...

The wasp self destructs

Doubt it

I havent had a guava since I was a kid My sister and I got laughed at for eating the yellow ones. All of the other kids were eating the green ones and we thought they were idiots. Like seriously they would just walk past the yellow ones. What gives? the yellow ones are delicious soft why eat them when they are hard and not as sweet? Maggots. Thats why. We werent looking as we were eating them but the other asshole kids knew and waited like 2 weeks to tell us.

Ah, like figs too and partially remember that, but am erasing the details as I type. Something, something, but those green plump ones are so tasty.

Those things are growing crazy!

They sprout out of the dead center of the seed. Then that long root grows for awhile, and you can see where the root splits open an inch or two from the seed and the 'trunk' of the palm emerges.

I see little green things popping up where I planted. In the wacky weather we have here I think for them to start showing means my gardening skills have risen to god level. meaning I just threw things in the dirt and forgot about them. Works so far?

Little green things popping up is a good start. I'm running late on that, but that's partly because almost all the peppers (and others) survived the winter. Not excessive amounts of room for new stuff, but there is some.

all of my plants survived the winter

Whatever. :)
