How the fuck do you fire a gun of any caliber at close range like that and not get a subduing hit. I can understand not getting a kill shot, but not effectively stopping your target? Learn from this gentleman. If they're worth shooting once, they're worth shooting every bullet you have
He fired like six shots from point blank range at a stationary target seated in the fucking driver's seat of a truck. It's harder to miss in that scenario that it is to hit the target, what the fuck.
Looked like he shot two into the ground as a "warning". Someone ignoring you having a gun isn't going to heed a warning shot.
This is why I advocate practicing a lot. Run around the shooting range a bit until you are breathing hard, run up to your gun on the bench and fire off all your loaded ammo as fast as you can. See how much you miss. Keep practicing until you can hit at least half the time.
Because anything short of rifle energy (2,500 ft/lbs) isn't guaranteed to subdue even with multiple shots. The sheer volume of cases and incidents that I've heard where someone gets shot and hit 10+ times by 9mm, or 45ACP, and then proceeds to shoot the shooter is insane.
A friend shot haji immanently dead, but haji still had life in him to charge and knife my friend before he died. Friend was in critical for a while and nearly died himself.

Dude probably high on drugs - i dont get why he didnt just mag dump him through the window. Or then hide beside the vehicle rather than run out into open grass verge.
Just speculating on the caliber per revolver. I'm not a total expert but I'm pretty sure there isn't a common single action .380.Therefore speculating .22 and single action cocking before every shot. Fat boy coulda, shoulda but.... Check out time is never late
Perhaps surprisingly, trucks tend to win against guns.
If you get in a dangerous altercation, do not linger afterwards.
He had plenty of time to get behind a building
Even though some hate Sun Tzu - there's a principle - Do not camp on enemy territory. That is exactly how this applies
Seeing what it cost him, it would have better for him if he just had a tracker on the vehicle and obtained it later.
Attack their vacuities. The car thief will eventually park and leave the vehicle undefended. It is very easy to take it back then. It requires almost no effort.
Knew somebody who had a car stolen, it was easily recovered. No effort, no injuries.
Guy in San Antonio had his brand new Ford truck stolen and taken across the border to Mexico. Had a tracker on it. Took his spare set of keys, went down, stole it back, drove it home.
I was thinking Nietzsche, if you must strike an enemy make sure he can not retaliate. That's not an exact quote but I don't feel like looking it up and it's been a few years since I read his philosophies. You get the point
Yeah, he did. I think he even shot two into the ground. If he wasn't such a retard, he would have practiced a bit with that piece, and just pumped all rounds into the chest. Instead, he's dead.
Missing his shots was his first mistake, his second was a complete lack of situational awareness that ultimately got him killed. Do not break contact with the threat until the threat is neutralized. If he was unable to neutralize the threat or unsure the threat is completely neutralized, he should have immediately taken (hard/immobile) cover-- instead he casually starts walking off and starting a conversation with the other retard still standing in the street, totally ignoring the truck he was just firing into until it's right back on top of him and too late for him to react properly.

Heck, Guy would have been better served using the last shot for the front tire next to him.

As is usually the case, Mr. Driggers would appear to not be entirely unknown to NC law enforcement.
