Crucifix recommendations?

submitted by MaryXmas to Catholicism 1 yearApr 12, 2024 14:33:40 ago (+4/-2)     (Catholicism)

I am looking for a new wall crucifix for my office. Anyone have any recommendations? Seems they are all made in China, it would be nice to find one made in Italy or something.

One for each room. At least get a portrait of Hitler in there.

You couldn't be dumber if you tried. It means Christians are born free of sin and owe jews NOTHING but a kick in the head.

Christians ALL know what it means asshole.

There you go, your ignorance is a game. THe Jews believe in original sin as the phrase stands. Jesus died for their sins and erased them all and that enrages jews whos sickness is thinking they;re a god named lucifer and have a right to tyrannize Christians demanding payments to their non profits for manufactured sins they pluck out of history.

No where does Jesus promote Christians as having original sin, and you're too narrow minded to understand Augustines use of the phrase was that they needed guidance not to succumb to the jw and indulge in vice and lose their spine and backbone.

Your problem and every jew's problems are the billions who didn't sell their soul, and that each individual who did is redeemed by simply giving their love to Jesus insead of vic and th jews who promote it..

MaryXmas,

Check these out, maybe something here will work for you. I don't know what your budget is, but maybe you can better get an idea of the style you might be looking for.

Did you post a link?

[ - ] iSnark 1 point 1 yearApr 12, 2024 20:52:16 ago (+1/-0)

Sorry about that, I was running late for an appointment and neglected to add the link :-(
Here is the page that I was going to send:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=Traditional+large+wall+Crucifixes&_sacat=0&_odkw=Traditional+large+wall+Crufixes&_osacat=0

I'm shocked at how expensive these sellers are pricing these. But, Like I said, they might give you some good ideas to help you decide what style you want.

Peace

Last I checked you were about to lose a toe and a little preoccupied.
Thanks for sending. Those are actually a lot better than what I have seen from new sellers and you can even find some made in Italy and whatnot. Great suggestion, thank you.

You're Welcome. Glad to help, Would you post a pic (or link) of the Crucifix you get? I'm curious what you've chosen.

I was actually on that conversation chain about losing a toe, but I wasn't the OP. I'm glad his toe was saved though.

I like the st. Benedict ones but it will probably take me a while to decide. I also found a bunch on aliexpress for $3.00 and it pisses me off to see the same thing listed for 18 on eBay or whatever. I might wait until the local flea market.

However. I have found a new rosary- https://www.amazon.com/Blue-St-Benedict-Wooden-Rosary/dp/B09TWXW39N?
I plan on getting a few of these for my family. You can buy them direct from their site too.

That is a cool Rosary! I know this is a bit of an older conversation, but I was curious, did you ever find a Crucifix.

[ - ] MaryXmas [op] 0 points 11 monthsMay 22, 2024 18:49:56 ago (+0/-0)

I have been looking around at secondary markets. Still haven't found one. I might work on something like this for a year or longer before I get one. I could actually use 4-6 for my house so this could take a while.

I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Thanks pal. Why are you so curious anyway?
The real story is that I kept looking and then found pretty much all of them on AliExpress for pennies which made me mad at the bullshit jew sellers on Etsy with a 200% markup. Now that I am disinfranchised with the crucifix market, I have resolved to buy one second hand. I actually took a shot at making one. It is ok but not great. It could pass as a "rustic" design but I don't really know if it is something I want to hang up. Being it is a representation of a holy object, I want to have a good representation, not something sloppy because I wasn't able to do any better.

Get one commissioned. I'm sure you can find something nice if you shop around on Etsy.

Can't you make your own? You just need two sticks...

Check out local thrift stores. Or your local church might have an information and gift shop.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 3 points 1 yearApr 12, 2024 15:43:33 ago (+3/-0)

Not a bad idea actually. Older stuff that has survived will probably be of better quality and of local make. Even if it's a bit scuffed, restoring it would be a nice project for you and any youngsters.
