Well firstly I almost never eat out. One of the major reasons is how much I hate tipping. Tipping should be for service that goes above and beyond, not a standardized expectation for customers to cover part of the workers' salary because the owner is some greedy kike.
But I avoid any situations that would require tipping. I refuse to support this bullshit. Imagine being some city dweller who orders a sandwich from JewburEats and pays $16 for the sandwich plus $4 for the tip. How fucking retarded!
If you have a situation like a couple guys installing a new appliance for you then I'd say a small tip is warranted if they didn't fuck anything up or leave any mess/damage. Otherwise, fuck you and do better next time.

Tipping is good for a service industry job, so that labor costs aren't factored into the food you eat. Waitstaff, for example, earn $2 /hr. If you change that to $15 /hr for every server, the menu prices go through the roof and your service staff are of the poorest quality because $15/hr translates to $30k /yr, full time, and there is no incentive to go above and beyond.
Keep it at $2 /hr and menu prices reflect the cost of the food, kitchen staff, and restaurant fixed costs and the server can earn upwards of $60k /yr if they are good at their job and are tipped well, or they'll earn $10k /yr and quit because they suck at their job.
Tipping for things like installations should be the above and beyond idea, but they are making a wage, and those tips should be voluntary and not expected.
The tipping before you get your meal absolutely sucks. Uber eats absolutely sucks because of this model. The guy delivering the food has no incentive to do good even if the tip is good. You can't really ask for it back when they fuck up your order, and they will. Same with ordering online, to-go. They constantly fuck up orders because they already got their money.
But tipping at a restaurant isn't a handout. It's how a good server pays their bills and what is used to discourage shitty servers from continuing to be shitty servers, without fucking up menu prices.
