I'm gonna go along with a few other and ask what kind of pay are you offering? I'm not saying this excuses failure to show up. That's lazy dumb shit. If you ask for an interview you better damn show up. But as far as who actually applies in the first place it does matter.


In most places, unless a job offers over $1000 a week it's damn near pointless for anyone with offspring that doesn't get a government handout. Housing is stupid expensive. I'm not that old with a paid off house and two paid off cars. I do all the house and vehicle maintenance myself. If I had to rent I'd be screwed. We eat real food not corn syrup trash and don't eat out. Home cooked meal every night. Still spend over $2000 a month on food for a family of 4. That averages to 5.55 per meal per person. All snacks included in meals.

I have to wonder if you can offer a decent wage. Most places don't. No hate just how it is.

quite a few years ago I was trying to start a handyman -> light wood frame construction / residential property management model with the goal of residual income. The service was broken up into two tiers. Tier 1 = non-skilled labor services (anything around the home that doesn't require using power tools), tier 2 = skilled labor services (decks, doors, windows, roofing, etc). The basic jist: $55 monthly fee and you get one hour of tier 1 service labor. You can accrue hours and use them toward larger projects (tier 2). In return for subscription, you get a managed support relationship; on-line scheduling, call back within 24 hours, on-site visit within 7 business days. Basically collect monthly subscription fees (shows investors growing subscription base and helps with revenue forecasting) and make sure that you are first in line for larger scale projects, when homeowners are ready to pull the trigger. I was a licensed builder and had experience with pretty much all facets of residential construction. The challenge? finding skilled help. My buddies have mad skillz, but they were fucking drunks and getting them to commit to jobs was impossible. You can't leave someone's house half roofed / half covered with blue tarps when thunder storms are rolling in, gotta keep going. Getting unskilled labor help was impossible - was using my junky nephew and his degenerate friends to help, couldn't send them anywhere as they were totally un-presentable and useless without constant supervision. Started to grow and wanted to sell the model as a franchise, but finding help was the hardest part. I see why people hire and subcontract out to the Brazilians, Chileans, mexicans, etc. They get up the fucking ladder and roof in the rain if they have to. They bring a small microwave to the job to cook rice and beans at lunch, and take a nap for two hours, but they stay on the job and get it done, lol. Now I am in IT and basically never leave my house :(

Yeah we hired 3 white bitches for baby sitting. They all quit or stopped showing up. One was constantly 1-1.5 hours late everyday and wouldn't clean the bottles. We were nice to her too since she was pregnant. Said you can eat whatever you want here. She would eat and leave her fucking dirty dishes in the sink.
