2) Run the windshield defroster on full hot for about 15 minutes. (heat the windshield creates a local air temp differential so the air between the window and the device is trying to expand relative to the air outside the device.)
3) Slip a thin-edged tool (spackle knife, paint scraper, credit card) under the edge to break the suction.
4) Check your dashcam (you DO have a dashcam by now, right?) to see who put it on.
5) Hunt that person down and break their fucking knees with a pick-axe handle (if there are no immediate painful consequences they'll keep doing it).
Huh, neat. My car isn't expensive enough to justify it, but my dashcam is getting older. And I'm currently installing a solar-powered trickle charger, so it might be something I'll look into further.
Wouldn't drilling a hole in the back of it to break the suction release it? Yes, looks like it has a big suction cup on each side. Drill into the back and it falls off.
