Yeah, I want to know how the sexual harassment allegation is even getting off the ground here. The article posted below treated it like these were serious allegations being brought by the prosecution. The river looks like it is about a foot deep, so what, the man with the snorkel is trying to see girl's underwear. . .beneath the water?
It seems pretty clear to me these kids were just being pricks to this older guy. He was alone, and they weren't, and drunk people can be predatory in contexts like this. They were probably just mocking him by accusing him of being a pedophile, and then along comes another group to instigate it even further. All they had to hear was the allegation that had initially been made in jest, and then the "boss bitch" from the other group goes moral crusader because women can do anything when they think they've got a group of men standing behind them like artillery.
Pretty soon, the old guy is surrounded and is probably overwhelmed. I would be willing to bet that the so-called assault on the female (what supposedly prompted them to shove him into the water) was actually him trying to get that bitch's hands out of his face. Look how close she gets to him. In other words, these groups were just waiting for any justification to do this to him. He probably reached up to create some space between he and the girl getting in his face, and they exaggerated, calling this "hitting her."
All around, a bad situation. He should have had the sense to just get out of it when he saw the other group coming. There was no recovering his reputation at that point, as frustrating as all of this is. Trying to recover this situation with a group of drunk retards who were already bent on bullying would be like trying to reason with an angry pitbull behind a fence. The guy walked through a gate he didn't have to, even though that doesn't justify the assault that was done to him. Pride will kill you.
EDIT: It's been years since I've intentionally searched Reddit for information, but I wanted to see what people were saying about this one. Boomer is getting the majority of the support, from what I could see. Also, it looks like the prosecution is going for 1st degree, which was probably not a great bet.
