"KILLING SPREE!"

Back in the 90's a company came out to Ft. Bragg to demonstrate one of their early computer-based wall projection video type shooting trainers, for training "Use Of Force" scenarios, to my unit.

You could tell almost immediately that the scenarios and training were geared more towards police than military units, and one of the scenarios was exactly like this one, the classic "armed bad guy hiding behind the hostage".

Now, to try and maximize the training value, we were kept seperated, so that everyone who'd done the training was kept seperate from everyone who hadn't done it yet, so you went in cold, not knowing what to expect, and the scenarios themselves were also run in random order.

After we'd all done it, the trainers came in and you could see that they were clearly flummoxed. We were the first military, non-MP unit that they had tried this with and they weren't sure what to think. "We really don't know what to say, because we've never really seen anything like this before. Your guys didn't even TRY to talk to them or give commands. They all just went STRAIGHT to lethal force. And nobody missed."

Because my boys never hesitated. The instant they detected a lethal threat, they just killed them. DRT. No verbal commands, no hostage negotiations. Nothing.
Threat, bang-bang-bang-bang-bang, instant dead. Fade to black, roll closing credits.

They went back and rolled the scenarios for us again, and showed that in every scenario, if you just waited a few extra seconds, there was an option to negotiate the BG's surrender.

I had to explain to them that, if we show up, the people who's job it is to talk have already done their job, and now it's time for somebody to come out feet first.

"That's what we do. That's all we do. If we show up it's because you have fucked up your life's decisions to the point that it brought us there. We can't wait for the BG to "see the light" and suddenly decide to start making good decisions at this late date. Because that gives him the initiative. If he decides to kill the hostage, then we kill him anyway, that represents a mission failure to us. But if we just maintain our momentum, keep the initiative, and kill him first, the hostage survives and that's mission success."

"We don't care about dying, that possibility comes with the territory and we accept that. We care about not losing. Ever."

So my boys are going to save their clock-cycles for maximizing their markmanship fundamentals, and focus on getting good hits as fast as possible.
Because 100% is the only acceptable standard. Because 99% means that one time in every hundred, you get your ass kicked.
(going back and checking the slow-motion shot to shot replay, some guys were getting up to 15 hits rapid fire, from a simulated Beretta M9, into the bad guy's forehead before he dropped).

Bad guy with a gun? Instant dead bad guy. Every single guy. Every single time. No exceptions. And zero misses.

I was so proud. "Brilliance in the fundamentals", indeed.

Hate to break it to everyone, but, since the whole tranny thing started, people seem to have completely forgotten the simple sad truth that there are, in fact, some really butt-ugly females out there walking around loose in the world.

The only thing more hurtful than accurately calling a man in drag a man, is accidentally 'misgendering' some poor ugly chick as a man.

Like she doesn't know she's ugly and doesn't already catch enough shit in her life for that.
