Yes, if the gif is a link to giphy. Or if its a malformed webm file.

Same breadcrumbs any time somebody here posts direct youtube links, facebook, reddit, twitter links (like this one)...

All the same. Youre forfeiting your ip address to known data brokers who always can tie your online alias back to you.
