You're right, I'd never heard of it. Looked up some info, and I guess it was pretty popular in Europe among the aristocracy for a while before eventually being phased out.

Interesting trivia: Princess Grace of Monaco was driving a Rover 3500/P6 when she crashed with her daughter in 1982.
