It's leaving holes when you mouse to make them disappear. At least on Firefox.

Not really sure other than finding past posts or comments a bit easier? Know the date something happened and its easier to sift through than the info of "6 months ago".

Its an easy thing PHP can do...formatting can be modified...would be nice to know which timezone the server is in, pretty sure the date is pulled from the webserver.

Recent programmer guy that got fired wrote a combination of UTC (Meridian) and current time and fucked everything up because of it.

Timestamps down to the second actually matter in some cases.
