How much does he pay in heat and electric? Anything is possible, but many times the cost is prohibitive.

1000 canadian bucks a year if he only burns propane, including castros carbon tax. he also has a wood stove if he wants.

at -22C ambient temp, you really can't expect the greenhouse to get to tropical temperatures to grow bananas. and if you look at the structure in the video, there is no sunlight coming through the roof (due to snow cover or otherwise, i cannot tell). even if it is hyper-insulated, you still need heat at night when the sun isn't shining. Having only sun shine through a window is not going to be enough.

There's an old guy who's been doing this for ages in I think Nebraska. Lots of youtube videos, with many from other visiting youtube farmers and growers.
