“The vessel notified MD Department of Transportation (MDOT) that they had lost control of the vessel and an allision [a ship collision] with the bridge was possible,” the report said.

I searched for the word allision and found nothing. Did AI write this or are these commie fags making up words again?

A collision is when a ship hits another moving ship
A allision is when a ship hits something that is not moving

plural -s. 1. obsolete : the action of dashing against or striking upon. 2. : the running of one ship upon another ship that is stationary.

the google

In a collision, two moving objects strike each other; for example, two passing ships. An allision, however, involves an accident where only one of the objects is moving. For instance, this maritime term can refer to an accident where a moving boat runs into a stationary bridge fender.
