Completely unstructured, no obvious hint of a plan in their uncoordinated, punkish style , they're punks with no understanding of anything who got sucked in by a (((handler))) who impressed them with a couple of key words forming a simple message, like, {but not verbatim} "comrades in Allah, we are brothers in ✡DONMEH✡ kill for cash and glory, call now don't wait ".

What the fuck were they thinking that would cause them to commit to a lose lose 100% chance of failure operation, other than the human slaughter?
If they were jihadi martyrs intent on arriving in "paradise" before midnight and being greeted by 52 virgins, then it's case closed and no need to elaborate or understand regardless of the sadistic "slice and dice atrocities" because that's what they do, so retaliation is routine and standard and the population of the implicated host country declines a bit.

This one is different and someone big is behind it. I would almost guarantee that those shooters hid out somewhere in the venue 1 or 2 days in advance so as to avoid surveillance, not that they would think of it but because they were told to.
