They probably should have started with 300 GB per week and then boil-frogged their way down to 3GB (or more if you donate to their political party). And then just blame global warming or call people racists if they disagree.

P.s. it is neat that the French word for byte is 'octet'.

Formally, an octet is the correct term for exactly eight bits, while a byte is the smallest number of bits that can be accessed in a computer system, which may or may not equal eight. In practice, modern computers use 8-bit bytes, and the terms are used interchangeably (with byte being more common in North America, and octet often being preferred in Europe).

When me and my brother first got internet hookup, we had to share 5GB between us a month. and somehow that was enough.
Now, for me alone 500 GB a month of usage is normal. If i download a game or two it easily goes into the TB
