Most rentals make virtually no money as it is. Sure, some got lucky with the interest rates, but even then, when you factor in rental insurance, taxes, escrow, levies, special improvement district taxes, etc i would be surprised landlords make more than a few hundred bucks a month. And any rental income you make is taxed aggressively at 25% minimum.

Heck thanks to inflation there are cash positive houses that went NEGATIVE due to the absurd jump in escrows and taxes
