Simple Minds, in my opinion, is an excellent band with so many great songs other than this one :)

Well, obviously Don’t You Forget About Me is their top song because it has stood the test of time, but I’m happy to share some of my favorites from their catalog (which began in 1979!). I absolutely love this band. I’m a little young to have enjoyed them properly, but had a best friend who was 8 years older than me who lived in the UK in her late teens. She really gave me a great music education about the music I already enjoyed from the 80’s. I have always loved new wave.

I had the sad realization that that song might just be the swan song of the white race.

And looking at that movie that period of time might have just been the peak of the white race and the last peak.
