This is a common theme in western media. Putin never suggested, or even used the word "nuclear weapons", prior to this interview, but if you do an internet search, it is replete with headlines about Putin threatening the use of nuclear weapons. Usually, the media would put it in the context that Putin was "desperate" because Russia was "losing the war".

Now, a suggestion that Russia is "losing" in Ukraine is so laughable n that no one dares trying to run a media story suggesting that this is the case. Now, the stories read that NATO must not allow Russia to "win" or he will continue on into Europe. Of course, no real evidence exists of this intention. Russia is less than 100 square miles of settling into the exact lines that Putin laid out in the February prior to the incursion. Azov is all but destroyed (denazifing Ukraine) and Ukraine is well aware that they will never be a part of NATO or the EU.

Now, France has threatened to send troops into Ukraine to help fight Russia, but was quickly defuted by numerous NATO countries and NATO leadership, itself, saying NATO will not get involved.

However, we now know that the US, the UK, and Germany do have "advisers" in Ukraine and there is talks of an escalation between NATO and Russia, and here is Putin in this interview saying that Russia has nothing to fear from NATO and will not be moved away from the goals set forth by Putin, and the Russian Parlement, days prior to the incursion. The reporter, who is not being labeled as a traitor and Putin pawn by the western media like Tucker had been, asked about Russian military capabilities, and Putin responded to the question.

Putin did not threaten anyone or anything. But the western media wants its readers shitting their pants so they can move forward with their agenda, whatever that may be.

Putin is not coming to save them.
