This is the result they want. They could’ve garnered a coalition of surrounding banana republics to help stabilize them. Instead they ensured the surrounding governments that we will gladly accept any and all refugees. Hell, the state dept will even pay for the transport through a NGO like Catholic Charities that miraculously is set up and operable on the ground there….
If only the US had some agency that could be assigned to stop it. The last time Haiti went to shit the US sent Marines down there to act as police and protect infrastructure, from 1915-1930.
We don't need a Hatian Afganistan. It will never work. And when it folds all the people who "worked with us" where to you think they will end up. Don't fix Haiti. Use it as a place to dump criminal immigrants.
It needs to flow the other way. All the illegal immigrants need to get dropped there. And we need to re-segregate our prisons. All the white guys stay where they are and the blacks go there.
