Truth. This the city in the OP's story was evicting this 68 year old man over ~18K in back taxes. That's it. This city and these officers were willing to deprive a man of his property (and potentially his life) over less than 20 grand in a civil dispute between the city and the rightful property owner. They even went so far as to steal his house and sell it to someone else to get this piss-ant measly amount of money. Imagine being able to steal someone's fucking house over such a petty sum.

This is only a story because the city and the two willing zogtroopers just ate shit over this whole ordeal. Even if they give this dude life in prison or death, he's fucking 68. He's won the war. The city has completely lost all face and now has to deal with the fallout of two dead cops, and they can't even get more money out of the guy. I bet this city doesn't even try to do another eviction for a least 2-3 years. They completely fucked themselves because of greed and hubris.
